Currently we are focusing our work on the new JooWI Online V2 Component for Joomla!

JooWI is a very comprehensive SaaS application, based on Joomla! with which the users can manage their Contacts, Services, Processes/Actions and Accounting.

What exactly is JooWI Online V2?

In contrast to the JooWI SaaS Version, which basis is also on the Joomal! Backend, but is only available as a rental version, the new JooWI V2 will be a pure Joomla! Component which you can install in your Joomla! like any other extension.

At the moment you can already manage any business contacts such as Customers, Distributors and Contributors as well as the Articles & Services.

The Invoice functions are currently under construction and are planned until the end of 2020.

What will the upcoming JoomISP JooWI plugin look like?

Currently there is only the gSales Plugin for JoomISP, which connects the billing program to JoomISP, so that Invoices can be created and sent automatically.

Gsales is a standalone web application in a separate sub/domain, which is offered by a third party provider.

Since JooWI Online can be installed in your Joomla! like JoomISP, it is not necessary to provide a separate installation from another dependent provider. You only have a single Joomla! system, which then takes care of the sale of your services including the billing. Furthermore you only have to maintain one system and the essential components are from one and the same manufacturer.

The work on the plugin will start soon, because it is the same Joomla! installation, no complex API calls have to be made, it can write and read directly into your own database.

Since we are currently working on many topics, we have to watch to correctly assess and prioritize the topics in advance.

What else is planned for 2020?

Probably there will also be a JoomISP Component update this year, there are already some tickets with bug fixes and optimizations ready.

Like other Extension developers, we are also planning a separate Component for the upcoming Joomla! 4 version.
This has advantages especially for those of you, who for various reasons do not want to or cannot switch to the new Joomla! in a timely manner.
