As written in our last Blogs, our hard work on the JoomISP v2.2.1b Update comes to an end. Here it is.
On this Update nearly the complete Frontend was refactored to meet the Joomla! 3 MVC.
JoomISP Main Component Update & Plugins
The changes to the JoomISP Main Component are manageable, but contains heavy changes.
The entire frontend was brought to the Joomla! 3 MVC, eliminating over 100 lines of code, making the application leaner and more stable.
We are now in the third week alone with testing and bug fixing, again and again found by the many and highly flexible possibilities of JoomISP combinations, which lead to any effects.
And the Joomla Frontend is one of the more important things about JoomISP because that's what customer orders about... Or maybe not...
This is also the reason why the file was released as BETA, even though we currently regard it as stable!
Our 4 eyes have already found many things and already fixed, just as much could be present in your real environment!
We kindly ask you to give us feedback on , if everything works fine and when and especially in which constellation something does not work. Please specify your settings in the ticket as accurately as possible, screenshots are also helpful.
Together we can make sure that JoomISP gets even better, even more stable and more great Features and Plugins!
Before you run the update in your production sites, make sure that you have a working backup and can switch back to distress!
The last versions had database changes, so consider when dubbing older versions, these changes may also be reversed!
Also, most Plugins received an update, here I noticed that many can´t read the Update XML file and thus show no available Updates. This should now work with the new changes, see the Intro Image above.

Joomla! 4 and JoomISP Demo
In the last post I had already written that I dared to have a first look at the next Joomla! 4 version.
Meanwhile, I also tried out the first functions to get the JoomISP Demo on Joomla! 4 up and running. You can view the latest results on the new Joomla! 4 JoomISP Demo page:

Since there are missing Features from Joomla! side still in many places, I focused my work on the Startpage and the language change. This works, after all.
Until JoomISP is installable and also nearly running, there is no sense in releasing the backend as well.
But as promised, we will definitely stay tuned for you...
